Know Your Rights
This guide has information about your rights as an immigrant. The American Friends Service Committee have put together a complete guide that will hopefully provide the information needed for people to protect and defend their rights. You should also review this Know Your Rights Guide by the American Civil Liberties Union.
Be prepared! Make a Family Plan
It is very important to be prepared to face all possible scenarios, and for immigrant families, it is crucial to think ahead and put in place concrete plans for immigration emergencies that could happen. The Immigrant Legal Resource Center has put together a helpful “Step-by-Step Family Preparedness Plan”, which contains a detailed list of items to do or think about.
