Admission Decision FAQs
MSU Denver reviews applications on a rolling basis. Once your application is complete, you will usually receive your admission decision letter within 7-10 business days.
No. Students must submit all required documents before an admission decision can be made. MSU Denver does not currently offer an intensive English program, so we will require adequate proof of English proficiency according to our policy.
Congratulations on being admitted to MSU Denver! You can now complete your Next Steps. These include:
- F-1 Visa Process
- New F-1 Students: Receive your I-20 Form; Complete your F-1 Visa application
- Students already in U.S. with F-1 Visa: Submit Transfer-In Form to transfer your SEVIS record to MSU Denver
- Create Your MSU Denver Student Email Account (First Login)
- Sign Up for Orientation
- Schedule an Appointment with your Academic Advisor
- Register for Classes in your Student Hub
- Secure housing
- Reserve airfare and transportation once you arrive in the U.S.
- Review MSU Denver Student Insurance requirements and submit any required immunization records
- Confirm your arrival with International Student Support
After receiving admission to MSU Denver, you must complete the required next steps prior to registering for courses, such as Orientation and meeting with your academic advisor.
Registration usually opens in April for the Fall semester and November for the Spring semester.
If you are unable to arrive on campus by the start of classes, you will need to apply for a future term. You just need to complete and submit the International Deferral Form. Once we receive the form, we can update your application to the new term that you requested (if its available).
